Billionaire investor George Soros is officially going green! The Hungarian-born U.S. investor announced his intention to invest $1 billion in clean energy technology as in an effort to combat climate change.
Furthermore, Soros will commit to the foundation and funding of a new climate policy initiative with $10 million a year for the next decade saying:
The science is clear, what is less clear is whether world leaders will demonstrate the political will necessary to solve the problem,

With George Soro’s hat firmly in the ‘green investment’ ring, his announcement is a seal of approval that the green investment sector is one to watch for the future. Given that Soros is already invested in the carbon market, may be motivation enough to increase global green awareness if not to encourage an upward movement in the price of carbon!
